La grotte de Shanidar mesure 40 m de long, 53 m de large, et a une hauteur de 13 m. Elle a abrité des hommes de Néandertal à différentes époques de la Préhistoire dont il restait environ 20.000 individus il y a 30.000 ans.
La grotte de Shanidar est située dans la province d'Erbil au Kurdistan d'Irak.
The Shanidar cave is 40 m long, 53 m wide, and has a height of 13 m. It has been home to Neanderthals at various prehistoric times, of which there were about 20,000 people 30,000 years ago.
