La grotte de Shanidar est située dans la province d'Erbil, la capitale du Kurdistan d'Iraq. D'après de récentes études, les hommes modernes de type eurasien vivant en Europe au 21e siècle possèderaient 3 à 4 % de matériel génétique correspondant à celui des hommes de Néandertal, dont certains individus ont vécu dans la grotte de Shanidar sur cette photo.
Shanidar's cave is located in the province of Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan of Iraq. According to recent studies, modern Eurasian-type humans living in Europe in the 21st century possess 3-4 % genetic material corresponding to that of Neanderthals, some of whom lived in Shanidar's cave on this photo.
