Le lac Dukan est très apprécié des habitants de la région de Suleymaniye qui peuvent venir se promener sur ses rives en famille ou entre amis, comme ces jeunes filles, ou s'y baigner. Il est situé à environ 70 km de la ville de Suleymaniye, et est le plus grand lac du Kurdistan d'Irak. Son barrage a été construit sur le Petit Zab en 1959 et mesure 116 m de haut.

Lake Dukan is popular with locals in the Suleymaniye area who can walk around shores with family or friends, like these girls, or swim there. It is located about 70 km from the city of Suleymaniye, and is the largest lake of Kurdistan of Iraq. Its dam was built on the Petit Zab in 1959 and is 116 m high.
